LCDs and LEDs are among the favorites of today’s generation of techies. As a result of this, manufacturers like Samsung & Sony are scrambling to be the first to introduce the newest technologies for LEDs and LCDs. One of these manufacturers is world renowned Sharp Corporation.
Sharp is acknowledged for coming up with some of the best products, and LCD displays are not an exception. For their new batch of 3D TVs, Sharp Corporation has made sure that it only employs the best technology possible. As a result, the company has come up with FRED, which is a term used to pertain to Sharp’s four-primary-color technology. This technology is believed to take viewers to a higher dimension in terms of image brightness and color clarity. It has a wider range of colors and is more efficient when it comes to light transmission. Basically, FRED’s strength is that it is able to introduce yellow into the monitor’s spectrum of primary colors. This is the main reason for the wider range of colors.
By adding yellow to the commonly used primary colors of red, blue and green, Sharp has created an entertainment system that gives off pictures like no other.
While Sharp’s technology used is not entirely new, it has, however, the inclusion of a 3D display that is said to have a significantly higher brightness. The company has seen to it that the LCD is optimized for use in 3D technology so that the images that it displays are 1.8 times better than the ordinary or regular displays.
In addition to more vivid and defined colors and unbelievably brighter images, Sharp’s newest baby will soon carry an additional feature: the side-mount scanning LED backlight technology. This feature helps significantly reduce crosstalk. Another interesting add-on to Sharp’s 3D LCD TV is its excellent UVA technology. Of course, Sharp’s LCD technology is, in itself, already a big factor for consumers to want to grab this product.
Sharp has always been known to offer products with excellent quality, all designed to satisfy their consumers, especially the loyal ones. This new 3D LCD technology that uses FRED is not an exception. Its unique four-primary-color technology and its one-of-a-kind 3D LCD display are guaranteed to keep its consumers highly excited. With this technology, Sharp Corporation aims to bring their consumers’ viewing experience to a whole new level – one that has not been explored by other 3D or LCD manufacturers.
The world’s first four primary colors 3D LCD will be introduced in Japan during the summer season. Meanwhile, North America, Europe, and the rest of the world will have to wait a little longer. Sharp Corporation plans to distribute their much awaited 3D LCD FRED TVs to various world markets in the latter part of 2010. It’s going to be quite a long wait, but it will be one that’s worth every precious moment, as a four-primary-color 3D television is not something that one can easily find – even in today’s highly technological world.
